Frozen Inspired Snowflake Rubber Band Bracelet

Last week I shared a new Frozen inspired rubber band bracelet that I loved by our "rubber band bracelet guru', Brietta, from our Salem Craft Warehouse store! Today, she has given me another and I have to say this one is my favorite by far!

Frozen Inspired Snowflake Rubber Band Bracelet #loombands #rubberbandbracelet #rainbowloom #flowerpower #frozen

I love how she adds beads around the snowflake charm. Each snowflake sits into the design of the bracelet almost looking like it is a part of the whole loom process but it isn't! All you need to do is create a the bracelet and add the charms and beads afterwards!

Frozen Inspired Snowflake Rubber Band Bracelet #loombands #rubberbandbracelet #rainbowloom #flowerpower #frozen

Supplies:

Loom Bands (Light blue, Blue, and White)
Loom
3 Snowflake Charms
Strand of Crystals (in the color of your choice, this one is done with white)
Clear Elasticity Beadalon Elastic Beading Thread
Needle

Frozen Inspired Snowflake Rubber Band Bracelet #loombands #rubberbandbracelet #rainbowloom #flowerpower #frozen

Directions:

1. Create a "Flower Power" rubber band bracelet.

2. Thread your beads on to the Elasticity thread making sure there is a knot at the end of your thread. Place the other end on a needle.

3. Place charm in place on bracelet. Do steps 4-5 for each charm.

4.. Holding the charm in place, start using the needle to help you weave the beads in and out of the motif on the bracelet. Make sure to use the needle to weave the beads around the charm so that it will stay in place.
Frozen Inspired Snowflake Rubber Band Bracelet #loombands #rubberbandbracelet #rainbowloom #flowerpower #frozen

5. Knot the thread several times when finished in the back. A great tip to keep that knot in place is by putting a bit of clear nail polish on it to seal. When dry, cut the threads ends.

Join us next week with our last "Frozen" inspired rubber band bracelet!

Frozen Crystal Necklace and Earrings Set

We are excited to present Medford's Craft Warehouse Employee Design Team contest winner! Rachel Ciddio designed this easy to make crystal ball necklace and earring set! Not only will Medford be creating these for a store make and take, but she shared the directions with us today!

Frozen Crystal Necklace and Earring Set @craftsavvy #craftwarehouse #frozen #jewelry #diy #letitgo

Supplies:

a 24-inch length of monofilament line 6lb or 8lb
30 bi-cone beads for each ball
2.5mm bi cones for earrings
4mm for necklace

Directions:

1. Cut a 24-inch length of monofilament line 6lb or 8lb works well.

2. String five bicone beads to the center of the line. Insert the end of the left side of line through the last bead added on the right side. Pull the thread taut to make a circle.

3.String four 4mm bicone beads onto the right line to lay flush against one of the beads in the first circle. Cross the left line through the last bead added on the right line. Pull the line taut (here you will notice your line ends switch sides). Insert the left line through the bead next to the last bead added. Pull the line taut. You will have two beaded circles with two beads lined up at the cross point of the left and right side lines.

Created by Rachel Ciddio

4. Add three 4mm bicone beads to the right line. Cross the left line through the last bead added and pull the line taut(line ends switch sides). Cross the left line through the bead adjacent to the last bead. You will now have three conjoined circles with two beads lined at the cross point.

5. Repeat Step 4 two more times, then insert the left line through the two beads at the cross point. You will now have three beads lined at the cross point.

6. Add two 4mm bicone beads to the right line. Cross the left line through the last bead (line ends switch). Put the left line through the adjacent bead. Two beads are lined at the cross point. Notice that the conjoined bead circles are curving.

7. Add three 4mm bicone beads to the right line. Cross the left line through the last bead (line ends switch). Insert the left line through the two adjacent beads that are lined up side-by-side at the cross point. Notice that there are three beads in a linear row at the cross point.

8. Add two 4mm bicone beads to the right line. Cross the left line through the last bead added (line ends switch). Cross the left line through two adjacent beads. Repeat this step two more times.

9. Insert the left line through one bead adjacent to the bead it is exiting to complete the circle. Add the last 4mm bicone bead over the right line and cross the left line through it. Feed one of your ends through the 5 beads forming your last circle. This should result in both ends facing each other.  Tie the two lines together in an overhand knot. Repeat the knot. You should now have a complete ball.  Feed each side of the line through the beads of your crystal ball to make it sturdy. When you can’t feel the line anymore, cut the excess line and message the ball in between your fingers to bring the ends into the beads to hide them.

* Join us at our Medford store Saturday, September 27th from 12-2pm to watch a live demonstration and make your own for $5 for the class and provided Czech Crystals and $15 for the class and provided Swarovski Crystals! Color subject to change.

Mini Casserole Dish Recipes

Hey Craft Warehouse fans, Michelle here sharing something a little different today. Have you seen these awesome little casserole dishes available at Craft Warehouse?

Mini Casserole Recipes @craftsavvy @mgddesigns #craftwarehouse #chickenpotpie #applecrisp

I love them, so fun, they come in a rainbow of colors and a perfect size for an individual casserole or small dessert to share. Today I want to share with you a couple of simple recipes perfect for these sweet little casserole dishes. They are also a perfect size for a hostess or house warming gift, especially when you add a little wooden spoon and attach a recipe to be used in it.

Mini Casserole Recipes @craftsavvy @mgddesigns #craftwarehouse #chickenpotpie #applecrisp

First up is an individual size Chicken Pot Pie.

Mini Chicken Pot Pie Recipe

    ¼ cup   Carrots, chopped
    ¼ cup   Celery, chopped
½ cup   Potatoes, cut into small cubes
    ½ cup   Cooked chicken, shredded
½ cup   Cream of chicken soup, thinned slightly with water
    Italian seaonsing to taste
    Pie pastry
    1   Egg white, lightly beaten

Directions:

Roll out your pie pastry and gently press in to line the casserole dish, I used a premade pie pastry and just rolled it out and pressed inside. Then I used kitchen shears to trim off the excess.

Mini Casserole Recipes @craftsavvy @mgddesigns #craftwarehouse #chickenpotpie #applecrisp

In a bowl combine carrots, celery, potatoes, and chicken and mix until blended. Once mixed spoon mixture into casserole dish .

Mini Casserole Recipes @craftsavvy @mgddesigns #craftwarehouse #chickenpotpie #applecrisp

Thin cream of chicken soup with a little water and stir in Italian seasoning to taste, pour over chicken and vegetable mixture in casserole dish.

Mini Casserole Recipes @craftsavvy @mgddesigns #craftwarehouse #chickenpotpie #applecrisp

Use the excess pie pastry and roll out enough to cover the top of the pie, be careful to make sure it’s not too thick or it will not cook through. Lay the pastry on top of the pie and pinch the edges of the top and bottom pastry together. If so desired use a fork to press down the edges of the pastry. Use a knife to cut a few slits in the top of the pastry. Brush the top of the pastry with a bit of egg white.

Mini Casserole Recipes @craftsavvy @mgddesigns #craftwarehouse #chickenpotpie #applecrisp

Bake in an oven preheated to 350 ° for 25 minutes or until golden brown on top.

Mini Casserole Recipes @craftsavvy @mgddesigns #craftwarehouse #chickenpotpie #applecrisp

Let stand 5 minutes before serving and be cautious because it inside of the pie will be hot! If you’re not able to enjoy the entire pie in one sitting, simply place the lid of the casserole dish on the casserole and place in the fridge for later. These casserole dishes are oven safe and microwave safe so are great for reheating.

Now that dinner is done, let’s make some apple crisp for dessert, also made in one of these casserole dishes.

Mini Apple Crisp Recipe (Original recipe found here)

1 medium tart apple, cored, peeled and thinly sliced
    1 Tablespoon    Lemon juice
    2 Tablespoons   Quick cooking oats
    2 Tablespoons   Brown sugar
    2 Tablespoons   Butter, melted
    ½ Teaspoon       cinnamon

Directions:

Place sliced apples in casserole dish and sprinkle with lemon juice.

Mini Casserole Recipes @craftsavvy @mgddesigns #craftwarehouse #chickenpotpie #applecrisp

In a bowl mix oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and melted butter, spoon mixture over apples.

Mini Casserole Recipes @craftsavvy @mgddesigns #craftwarehouse #chickenpotpie #applecrisp

Bake, covered, in an oven preheated to 350°, for 30 minutes. Remove lid and bake an additional 10 minutes or until apples are tender.

Mini Casserole Recipes @craftsavvy @mgddesigns #craftwarehouse #chickenpotpie #applecrisp

Let stand five minutes and enjoy!

Mini Casserole Recipes @craftsavvy @mgddesigns #craftwarehouse #chickenpotpie #applecrisp

Hope you enjoy these recipes and these fun mini casserole dishes. How fun would these be for a nice dinner for two? Perfect for a small baked dessert for one or two without a ton of left overs.

Thanks for looking!

Michelle
