Instructions
Collect old or new photo’s & memorabilia that you would like to use on this project. I Used a lot of Tim Holtz Idea-ology collection.
Start with covering 4-5x5 & 2-4x4 canvas with burlap and 2-4x4 with cotton. Then use distressed ink all over your burlap and fabric to create the distressed look.
Then paint 2-5x5 & 2-2x2 canvas with black acrylic paint.
Take the last canvases 2-5x5 & 2-2x2 cover with Tim Holtz Tissue Tape. Then use distressed ink over the top and sides of canvas.
After everything is dry. Lay out how you would like your wreath to connect.
Start by placing photos and memorabilia on the canvas.
Use E6000 to glue down most objects and to glue smaller canvases on top & Pioneer glue stick for photo’s and paper.
After you have decorated all your canvases then you need to get them to connect to each other. As you can see in the photo I took small 2x2 pieces of the Tim Holtz Grunge Paper. Then stapled it to the back of the wreath to get the large canvases to form a circle & connect. This is an important step because it’s the only way to keep your canvases straight and in a well shaped circle.
Then I glued the smaller canvas to the top of the 5x5’s using E6000.
Once everything is dry I stapled down a floral metal ring to the back of the canvas. This also give you a hook to hang your wreath with.
