Baby Snuggle Blanket

Craft Warehouse stores have this beautifully soft fleece that sews up into an easy baby gift.  We have packaged a variety of fleece and blanket bindings into great kits for you!

Baby Snuggle blanket kits by Katrina Hamer for @craftsavvy

The binding is packaged folded in half, ready for you to insert the fleece.  I found I got the best results opening the binding up and using a zig zag stitch, sewing it on.  This way I could see the fleece edge lining up with the fold of the binding.  Then I folded it over and stitched the other edge down.  The down side of doing it this way is that you see 2 rows of stitching on one side of the blanket.  I didn’t find that a deterrent.

Check out the photos below for some tips on sewing the binding.

If you don’t want to deal with mitered corners, use the application shown in the photo below.  You sew each side on individually. Sew binding on the top edge, then the bottom edge, then each side.  Be sure to fold the ends on the side pieces under before sewing for a nice edge when you use this method.

Heidi Swapp Marque Love Marquee Lights

Decorate your daughters room with this fun marquee letter project! These marquee letter kits include the lights, the bulb covers, all you need to do is spell out her name, add decorative tape and paper to fit her style.

How to make Heidi Swapp Marquee Lights in minutes! Created by @sarahowens for @craftsavvy and @heidiswapp

Supplies:

Heidi Swapp Marquee Love letter kits (spell out the name of your choice)
Heidi Swapp Marquee Love wide striped washi tape (available in several colors, or glitter! and sized to exactly the right width of each letter!)
Gold leafing pen
Pattern Paper of your choice
Pencil
Scissors
Adhesive (we like the Pioneer Embellishment Glue stick)

Directions:

Each Heidi Swapp Marquee Love letter kit includes a template for the inside of that letter. Use this template to trace the shape of your letter onto the pattern paper of your choice. Use scissors to trim out shape. Make sure to allow for lights to poke through- the template makes it easy by showing you where each light needs to go!

Glue the trimmed paper to the inside of your letter. Next wrap the Heidi Swapp wide washi tape around the outside of your letter. This stuff is super sticky!

Use a gold leafing pen on the edge of each letter for a shabby chic golden touch. Just run the tip of the chisel tipped pen along the edge.

Finally, add  your lights and then your bulb covers (included in each letter kit). Add batteries and watch your girl glow with excitement when she see's her name in lights!

Frozen Jewelry Box by Design Team Member McCall Clifford

Love Frozen? Know little ones who are obsessed? I do... Who doesn't?

Frozen Jewelry Box @craftsavvy @mcca11 #craftwarehouse #frozen #doyouwantobuildasnowman #diy #kids #crafts

Meet the Elsa and Ana in my life, my darling nieces.

I was extremely excited creating this fun Frozen project for my 5 year old niece.

Not extremely sew savvy?
Let it go.
Here's a fun tutorial on how I transformed one of Craft Warehouse's wooden jewelry boxes into a Frozen sensation without a lick of sewing.

Supplies:

Wooden Jewelry box
Fat quarters of the adorable line of frozen fabrics. Mix and match.
Disney's Olaf Button Embellishments
Snowflake Embellishments
Tracing paper and pencil
Mod Podge
Purple Paint, or one that goes with the scheme
Sponge brush
Super glue or hot glue gun
Glitter (optional, but strongly suggested)

Frozen Jewelry Box @craftsavvy @mcca11 #craftwarehouse #frozen #doyouwantobuildasnowman #diy #kids #crafts

First before getting the party started trace the outline using tracing paper of exactly where you'd like the fabric to go.

Next, paint the edges where the fabric won't cover, unless you're extremely determined to cover every inch with fabric.

Props to you.

Now for the drawers... I added some serious sparkle to my purple paint, your preference, but it sure adds a fun pop.

Then add Olaf! I separated his snowman self onto the three different drawers. I used super glue, but a glue gun would also work.

Frozen Jewelry Box @craftsavvy @mcca11 #craftwarehouse #frozen #doyouwantobuildasnowman #diy #kids #crafts

Use the tracing paper for templates to cut out the pieces to their correct shape to be Mod Podged.

Frozen Jewelry Box @craftsavvy @mcca11 #craftwarehouse #frozen #doyouwantobuildasnowman #diy #kids #crafts

Put down one layer of mod podge, place the fabric, follow by another layer of podge on top the fabric

Frozen Jewelry Box @craftsavvy @mcca11 #craftwarehouse #frozen #doyouwantobuildasnowman #diy #kids #crafts

Add any other embellishments you find fitting, put drawers in and Wa-La!

Frozen Jewelry Box @craftsavvy @mcca11 #craftwarehouse #frozen #doyouwantobuildasnowman #diy #kids #crafts

Fill with jewelry.

This is the perfect gift or craft night for any Frozen lover in your life.

Or in my case my cute 5 year old niece.

Happy crafting!
