Crystal and Chain Bib Necklace
Supply List
- 2 ½ feet of 4MM Rolo Chain (cable chain works as well)
- 1 Tierra Cast Toggle closure
- 17 Pear Shaped beads 9x12MM (Shimmer Crystal)
- 81 Round 8MM Shimmer Crystal Beads
- 17 Head Pins
- 22 Gauge German wire
- 52 Eye pins
- One set of Fish hook ear wires
- 2 heavy duty 6MM jump rings
- Package of 3MM round beads in matching metal tone
- General supplies:
- Wire Cutters, Round Nose Pliers, Chain Nose Pliers, Bent Nose Pliers
Directions
- Begin by measuring your neck to determine desired length, keeping in mind that this necklace should fit close to the base of your neck to lay correctly, and that the closure can add as much as an inch to the length.
- Cut Chain to desired length, Add closure to both sides and double check fit prior to adding beads.
- Cut fifteen 3 ½ inch lengths of the wire, and set aside. Cut a 75 link piece of chain from remaining piece, and set aside.
- Identify center link of chain necklace, and 75 link cut piece of chain. Begin by turning a wire wrapped loop to attach the beads and chain, start a wrapped loop, but do not close, until you have threaded the loop onto the center link of chain, then wrap to close the loop. Add one 8MM round crystal and a 3MM round bead onto wire, find the center link of the 75 link section of chain you cut previously and thread onto wire, then add another 3MM bead, and an 8MM crystal, then turn another wire wrapped loop to begin the center bib section.
- Now you will need to make 14 additional sections, to match the first, but connect to the chain 5 links from the last, spreading out from center. Attach the bottom chain in the same manner (5 links from the first one), you will be making a total of 15 sections, and should use up all 75 links of chain, there will be 3 empty links between each bead section.
- Load 17 pear shaped crystal beads onto 17 head pins, and turn an eye loop at the top of each. Set pieces aside.
- In the same fashion you will now need to load 49, 8MM round crystals onto 49 eye pins, and turn an eye loop to match the factory turned loop on the eye pin. Set aside pieces.
- Now connect 7 of the 8MM crystal eye loop sections together, by gently opening the eye loops to the side with the chain nose pliers, connect this section to the center loop section, then add 1 pear shaped crystal dangle to the end, to form the center (longest) dangle section.
- Create two more dangle sections by connecting 6 of the 8MM crystal eye loops together for each dangle, attach one pear dangle to the bottom of each, then attach the top to the right and left of the center beaded loops of the necklace.
- Repeat, lessening each dangle section by one bead, creating two the same length each time, add from center out (for balance), for a total of 13 linked dangles. Simply add a pear dangle to the last sections of the beaded base of the necklace.
- To form the earrings, connect each remaining pear dangle to an 8MM round crystal dangle, then connect the round/pear section to the left over chain, connect the other round/pear section to the opposite end of the chain, hold up to your ear, and trim to desired length, add fishhook ear wire to the end of the chain, by gently opening to the side, sliding on the chain and closing.

Shamballa Style Bracelets
Supplies
- 1 strand of 6MM, glass pearls, 1 strand of 10MM glass pearls
- Focal Bead(s), 6MM-14MM in size
- TEX210 C-Lon cording
- GS Hypo Cement
- Tools:
- Scissors
- Foam core and T-Pins, or Clip board and tape.
Directions
(Refer to the Knot Terms, Definitions, and Abbreviations)- Cut 2 lengths of cording 60 inches long and two 18 inch length of cording, set one of the 12 inch pieces aside.
- Pin a 12 inch piece of cording to your foam core or clip onto clip board and pin/tape the other end down so that the cord is taught. Slide the ends of the longer length of cording underneath the upper portion of the pinned down cord, then begin tying a square knot using the pinned cord as the filler cord.
- Square Knot(SK): To tie a square knot you must have two working cord and at least one filler cord on which to tie the knot. Lay your left working cord (WC) over the filler cord (FC) (this will create what looks like the number “4”), bring your right WC over the top of the left WC, bring the right cord underneath the FC, and up through the uprights of the “4”, pull both WC until snug at the top. You have just created the first half of a square knot, often referred to as a “half knot”. Nexttake the working cord that's now on the right and curve it over the fillers, heading left. Take the left working cord and pass it over the right one, under the fillers, and out through the space on the right. Tighten the Square Knot by pulling on the ends. The Head of the knot will face left.
- Slide a bead onto the cord and up next to the knot. Repeat tying one knot and adding a bead.
- For adding a focal bead that you would like to have centered, measure the circumference of your wrist, subtract ½ inch, and then divide in two. This is the measurement to use from the first pearl to the focal.
- Continue adding beads and tying a knot after each until you have mirrored the first portion.
- To create the slide knot. Re-pin or tape, the bracelet, so that the two filler cords are side by side forming the round shape of the bracelet, pin of tape at the edge of the beads so that you can knot around the two filler cords.
- Using the last 18 inch piece of cording slide the end under the two ends that are pinned down, and begin tying a square knot. Tie five full square knots, around the filler cords.
- Carefully glue the ends of the slide knot cord to each side of the knot head using the GS Hypo cement, being careful not to glue the filler cords which would cause the knot to stay in place rather than slide to form the closure. *A lighter can also be used to melt the ends of the cord to the knot.
- To finish, adjust the slide closure to fit your wrist, and also so that you can remove the bracelet, slide a pearl on each end of the cord and tie an over hand knot, this will prevent the pearl and filler cord from sliding through the slide knot.

Micro Macrame Chevron Bracelet
Supplies:
- 36 Round Gemstone beads 4MM
- 3 10MM Joy Antique Silver Tierra Cast Beads
- 6 Small Turkish Tierra Cast Beads
- 1 tube Delica 11/0 Seed Beads
- 1 Czech Rosette Tierra Cast Button
- 4 colors of TEX210 C-Lon cording (I used Lavender, Pink, Maroon, and Dk. Purple)
Tools:
- Scissors
- Foam core board and T-pins / or Clip board to attach the bracelet to while working.
Directions:
**Reference the Knotting Terms, Definitions and Abbreviations sheet with this project sheet.**- Begin by measuring your C-Lon cording, you will need to cut 2 lengths per color that are 80 inches long each.
- Thread one end of each cord through the button shank and center in half, clip button underneath you’re the clip of your clip board.
- Arrange your threads so that they are a mirror image of each other, with the same color thread next to each other as follows: Lavender, Lavender, pink, pink, Dk. purple, Dk. purple, maroon, maroon, (center), maroon, maroon, Dk. purple, Dk. purple, pink, pink, lavender, lavender.
- Once you have all of the strands arranged, you can begin the knot tying. You will now begin tying your forward knots (F), and working toward the center strands. Once you have gotten to the center, stop, and begin working from the right tying the backward knot (B). Then once you have gotten to the center you will need to tie a forward backward knot (FB), with the two cords to complete the first row. This will in the next few passes create a chevron pattern.
- Repeat step 4.) with the next threads again starting from the left, and working toward center, then working from right toward center, and tying together at center. Repeat this until you have 6 rows of color in a chevron pattern (aprox. 1inch long).
- Using only the center four threads, load small Turkish bead onto the centermost two threads, then tie a SK around the FC to lock in the bead. Slide a 10MM Joy bead onto the two the center most threads, and tie another SK around the FC, then load another small Turkish bead and tie another SK.
- Now section off the next three closest threads to the left of the center. Load a 4MM round bead onto the center or filler thread. Load the strand closest to the center with three Delica seed beads, and the thread closer to the outside with 5 Delica seed beads, tie a SK around the filler cord locking in the 4MM bead. Now tie 5 square knots and then load a 4MM round, three Delica’s on center most cord, and 5 Delica’s on the outer cord, tie a half square knot to hold in place.
- Repeat Step 7.) Next with the three cords to the right of center section you just tied.
- For the outer sections of beads (left), you will be using the three strands closest to the outside, and threading 5 of the 4MM round beads onto the center cord (tie a temporary knot at the end of the thread to keep them from falling off), load 5 Delica seed beads on the outer working cord, and three Delica seed beads on the inner working cord, tie a square knot to lock in the first 4MM bead. Do this portion of the step five times (because you are always loading three on the inside and 5 on the outside this section will curve towards the middle.
- Repeat step 9.) To create the outer section of beads (right).
- Start at the center (untie the half square knot so that you continue with the same chevron pattern as you started), and begin with a FB in the middle, continue to the left tying a B row of knots until you reach the outside of the bracelet. From center knot to the right begin tying a F row of knots until you reach the outside of the bracelet. This will be forming the reverse chevron pattern you began with. Continue in the same manner to form two rows of color.
- Once you have the two full rows of color, continue tying knots from center towards the outside, stopping short of the last thread each time, until you have come to a point at which you will need to tie FB knot.
- Repeat steps 6.)-10.) To create another section of beads, that matches the first.
- Repeat steps 10.)+ 11.) To create another small diamond shape of knotted bracelet.
- Repeat steps 6.)-10.) Once again to create the third and last section of beads.
- Repeat steps 10.)+11.) But rather than two rows of color, create 6 rows of color.
- To create the button holes. Divide strands in half at the center, using the threads on the right side, tie a square knot using the outer two threads and the inner two threads, around the filler threads in the center. Tie 5-8 SK’s, or enough to fit your button’s diameter. Repeat on the other side to match.
- Now with the two outer most strands of each side tie a SK around all of the other threads, tie 3 SK’s, then repeat step 17.), then 18.) , then 17.) , again to create three button holes. Rather and tie more square knots at the end tie an over hand knot to finish. Trim off remaining thread to 1CM.

Retro Rosie Earrings
Supplies:
2 Polystone roses
4 eye pins
2 ball tip head pins
4 Shimmer crystal beads 8M round
4 Bead Caps (Sweet Beads) 6M
2 Fish hook ear wires
Additional Supplies:
Chain nose pliers
Round nose pliers
Side cutters
Bent nose pliers
1.) Slide
one Polystone rose onto each of the 2 eye pins all the way, turn a 90 degree
bend into the top of the eye pin next to the hole. Trim off wire leaving a ¼-3/8 inch tail, bend
the wire tail up over and around to meet the 90 degree bend, creating a loop
that looks like the factory made one opposite.
2.) Now
slide 6M bead cap and an 8M round onto each of the two remaining eye pins. Turn
an eye loop by bending a 90 degree angel into the wire at the top of the bead,
trim off wire leaving a tail that is ¼ -3/8 inch long. Bend the wire up over and around to meet at
the 90 degree bend.
3.) Now
load the two ball tip head pins with a 6M bead cap and 8M round each, turn a
wrapped eye loop at the top of the bead, by bending a 90 degree angel into the
wire 1/8 inch or slightly less above the bead, with your round nose pliers bend
the wire up over and around, switch positions so that the pliers are holding
the loop from the bottom, and run the wire past the loop. Hold the loop with
your chain nose pliers, and gently wrap the tail around the 1/8th
inch space above the bead. Trim off
excess wire, after you have gone around the post 2-3 times.
4.) Open
the eye loops by gently bending the loop to the side, then attach the middle
section piece to the bottom of a rose section (with the bead caps on the bottom
(top is fine too-as long as they do all the same direction)). Open the bottom
of the middle section gently to add the bottom bead section. Gently open the
fish hook loop and add the rose dangle, and close eye loop. Repeat for opposite earring.

2 4MM crimp covers
Additional supplies:
Bead Fix glue
Scissors
Chain nose pliers
Nylon covered flat pliers
Bail Making pliers
Side Cutters/ Flush cutters
Nylon and Steel bench block
Ball pin hammer
1.) Begin
by bending a large loop in one end of your German wire with your bail making
pliers. Then do the same with the other end of the wire to form a figure “8”. Wires
will bypass each other.
2.) Hold
one end of the shaped wire with your nylon pliers and wrap one end of the wire
around the center.
3.) Turn
and hold the other side of the loop and wrap around center in the opposite
direction.
4.) Trim
off excess wire. Place on your steel bench block and gently hammer with your
ball pin hammer to shape the sides of the infinity shape flat. (Use caution,
too much will cause it to break, or could begin to show different colored core
of wire.
5.) Once
you have your infinity symbol shaped, you will need to tie on the Elasticity
using the recommended Surgeons knot. Once knot is secure dot a dab of Bead Fix
glue onto the knot (being very careful not to get glue all over the infinity
piece.
6.) String
aprox. 6 ¾ inches of 4M rondelles onto the Elasticity, tie the other end of the
cord to the opposite end of the symbol using the same knot and glue technique.
7.) To
finish close a crimp cover over the knotted cord, gently with the nylon pliers
and or the chain nose pliers, being careful not to cut through the cord with
the sides of the crimp covers.

Braided "E" Bead Bracelet
Supplies:
63 E Beads (6/0’s rounds)
6.5 ft of TEX400 C-Lon cording
1 Tierra Cast Button
Additional Supplies:
GS Hypo Cement
Scissors
T-Pins
Foam Core board taped to a solid surface
1.) Begin
by cutting 2 pieces of TEX400 C-Lon cording into one 4ft length and one 2.5ft
length. Fold the 4ft length in half, match the 2.5ft length to the bottom of
one cord and fold at the same length as the longer cord, run both through the
button shank.
2.) Tie
an overhand knot at the base of the button shank. You will have a short end to
the one cord, using the GS Hypo cement add a dab of glue to the inside of the
knot, and pull snug to secure. Trim off
excess short end, so that you have three
working cords.
3.) Load
each of the three cords with 20 of the “E” beads, then one more to tie the end
of the cording off so they do not slide off when braiding. (I recommend half
knot so that you can untie when done.)
4.) Pin
button to your taped down foam core, and begin braiding (no beads) for a short
little section (1/4in).
5.) As
you braid, you will need to slide one bead at a time to the top of the braid
each time that cord is on the outside.
As you do this hold the other 2/3rds of the braid with the opposite hand (this
will help hold the braided beads in place as you work), cross over and hold the
next 2/3rds with the over hand, as you slide the next bead into place. Continue
until you have braided all of you r beads into the bracelet.
6.) Once
you have the beads in place, continue braiding for at least 8 inches more. Then
you will need to tie an overhand knot with the braided section being careful to
adjust to fit your wrist, making a loop large enough for the button to fit
through once you have the knot in the location you like, add a dab of GS Hypo
cement into the knot and pull snug to secure. (I recommend an additional amount
of glue after the knot has been pulled snug).
Trim off the excess cord close to the knot to finish.

off equal portions (small) of both the colored clay and the hardener; begin
mixing the two together until they are all one color.
2.) Gently
tap the ball shaped mixed clay into the bezel ring form.
3.) Begin
adding crystal chatons starting with the larger ones first and filling in with
the smaller ones. There will be wax residue left on the top of the crystals,
wait until clay has hardened to polish and remove wax.
4.) Once
you have covered the clay surface with as many crystals, then give your ring a
light dusting of pearlized mica powder using a soft water color brush.
5.) Let
your ring harden for at least 45 minutes (or as long as you can get the

hrs for the ring to harden enough to polish off the wax residue. In 24 hrs
there ring will have cured and be hard and stable as a rock.

Wire Wrap Ring
Miss out on this free Wire Wrap Ring make and take last weekend? Don't worry! We have the instructions for you to make your own from home!
Supplies:
7-8 inches of 20G German Wire (Beadalon)
Additional supplies:
Bail Making Pliers
Side cutters
Ring Mandrill
Rubber Mallet
Chain nose pliers
1.) Begin
by bending a 180 degree bend into the wire approximately 2.5inches from one end
of the wire. Gently squeeze into a hair
pin shape.
2.) Use
your bail making pliers to gently bend the round portions of the heart with the
small side of the pliers, being careful to leave the hair pin turn you made
previously.
3.) Bend
an angle into the long side of the wire to create the heart point, run the
short end of the wire past the point and shape heart.
4.) Carefully
hold the heart with your chain nose pliers, and begin wrapping the short end of
the wire around the shank of the ring. (Just like you would do a wire wrapped
loop) Trim off excess wire –short side only!
5.) Now
you have created the focal portion of your ring, and it is time to gently shape
the ring form around the ring mandrill. Wrap the heart and ring shank form as
you go around the intended size you wish the ring to be, error on the side of
too small, as we can gently stretch the ring to make it larger when done. (wire
ring projects always seem to grow in size as you cerate them)
6.) Once
you have formed to the size you need, run the wire up through the center of the
heart and back the direction of the ring shank. (careful so that you do not
loose your shape and position of ring size.

Rose Wrap Wire Ring
If you missed out on creating this Rose Wrap Wire Ring during Bead-a-palooza Month, now is your chance to try it!
Supplies:
1 Polystone Rose
1 polystone leaf (optional)
14 inches of 20g German wire (Beadalon)*
Additional Supplies:
Ring mandrill*
Side cutters
Chain nose pliers
Rubber mallet*
1.) Slide
the rose onto the wire, and begin wrapping wire around ring mandrill at the
indented size. (Recommend aiming smaller than actual size as this project tends
to grow as you work it)
2.) Position
the rose in what will be the center of the ring, wrap the wires in opposite
directions several times around the mandrill (3-4 times), wrap the wire around
the rose also in opposite directions. Then wrap around one side of the “ring”
at least three or more times tightly.
3.) Wrap
the other end of the wire around the “ring” on the other side of the rose in
the same manner, trim of excess wire.
4.) Gently
(very gently) tap the ring on the mandrill with the rubber hammer to further
refine the shape into a ring. Use caution, too much hammering will cause the
ring to grow in size.
