Christmas Ornament Rubber Band Bracelet

There is still time to get creative before Christmas! I love making handmade gifts for my family and friends! Especially using loom bands because I can make a quick gifts in ten to fifteen minutes each! This fun ornament bracelet is using "Dress It Up! Buttons" and is oh, so cute!!! I used the "Vining Leaves" no loom instructions to make it look like garland.

Frozen Inspired Snowflake Rubber Band Bracelet

Last week I shared a new Frozen inspired rubber band bracelet that I loved by our "rubber band bracelet guru', Brietta, from our Salem Craft Warehouse store! Today, she has given me another and I have to say this one is my favorite by far!

Frozen Inspired Snowflake Rubber Band Bracelet #loombands #rubberbandbracelet #rainbowloom #flowerpower #frozen

I love how she adds beads around the snowflake charm. Each snowflake sits into the design of the bracelet almost looking like it is a part of the whole loom process but it isn't! All you need to do is create a the bracelet and add the charms and beads afterwards!

Frozen Inspired Snowflake Rubber Band Bracelet #loombands #rubberbandbracelet #rainbowloom #flowerpower #frozen

Supplies:

Loom Bands (Light blue, Blue, and White)
Loom
3 Snowflake Charms
Strand of Crystals (in the color of your choice, this one is done with white)
Clear Elasticity Beadalon Elastic Beading Thread
Needle

Frozen Inspired Snowflake Rubber Band Bracelet #loombands #rubberbandbracelet #rainbowloom #flowerpower #frozen

Directions:

1. Create a "Flower Power" rubber band bracelet.

2. Thread your beads on to the Elasticity thread making sure there is a knot at the end of your thread. Place the other end on a needle.

3. Place charm in place on bracelet. Do steps 4-5 for each charm.

4.. Holding the charm in place, start using the needle to help you weave the beads in and out of the motif on the bracelet. Make sure to use the needle to weave the beads around the charm so that it will stay in place.

5. Knot the thread several times when finished in the back. A great tip to keep that knot in place is by putting a bit of clear nail polish on it to seal. When dry, cut the threads ends.

Frozen Inspired Rubber Band Bracelet

I am so excited to introduce to you a new no-loom rubber band bracelet book to you, now in Craft Warehouse stores! I have been making bracelets with this book for two months now, just waiting for it to arrive in stores and you are going to LOVE it!

Not only are the projects perfect for beginners, but you can customize every pattern and even advanced bracelet makers can have a good time!
I used one of the patterns in the book to create a Frozen inspired bracelet using our snowflake  charms!

Frozen Inspired Rubber Band Bracelet @craftsavvy @createoften #craftwarehouse #loombands #rubberbandbracelets #noloom

I love this book! There are few tips and tricks I wanted to share with you before you grab it and head home to start making bracelets.

Hooked on Rubber Band Jewelry @craftsavvy @createoften #craftwarehouse #loombands #rubberbandbracelets #noloom

1. You do not need a loom! Two loom hooks are perfect to get started. One to work on and the other to use to slip stitches off and on again when needed. I love a long crochet hook so I can get more stitches on my hook, but it isn't necessary.

2. Grab some Locking Stitch Markers! These little hooks help hold each motif and design in place while you start another. It saved me so many unraveled bracelets! I love using them!

3. Switch your working end! The patterns in this book use double sided crochet hooks. I chose to just use my own single hook. It works just fine until I want to finish a motif or design and I have to remove 10 bands from a non hooked working end. No problem! Just switch the hook around and remove the motif just the same!

Frozen Inspired Rubber Band Bracelet @craftsavvy @createoften #craftwarehouse #loombands #rubberbandbracelets #noloom

This Frozen inspired bracelet is using the "Full Shell" pattern on page 32. Here is how I created it.

Supplies:

Purple - 10 Bands (for each motif design)
Blue - 10 Bands (for each motif design)
1 Hook
C or S hook
4 Jump Rings
4 Snowflake Charms
Crystal Stickles Glitter Glue
Locking Stitch Markers
Hooked on Rubber Band Jewelry Book

Directions:

1. Follow the directions on page 32 to create your first motif in blue.

2. Place a locking stitch marker in the two bands left on the hook. Snap closed. Leave the bands on the hook to begin again using purple bands.

3. Continue your pattern until the bracelet fits your wrist. Attache a C or S clip at the end.

4. Use Stickles Glitter Glue on the snowflake charms. Crystal looks greenish when applied but it actually dries crystal white.

Frozen Inspired Rubber Band Bracelet @craftsavvy @createoften #craftwarehouse #loombands #rubberbandbracelets #noloom

5. Let the glitter dry for a couple of hours. Then flip the charm and do the backside too.

6. When dry, hang the charms from your bracelet with jump rings!

Loom Band Storage

Let me introduce you to a new way to store your loom bands! This 12x12 storage container is originally for scrapbooking supplies because it fits paper and other supplies perfectly. Then, when adding the 12x12 insert, you get the perfect storage solution for rubber band bracelet making! It is hard to find a container that fits both bands, hooks, and your loom! Look no further! Here it is!

@craftsavvy @createoften #craftwarehouse #loombands #rubberbandbracelets #loom #diy

I love that the large slot can hold my loom and then other spots are perfect for buttons, hooks, bands, and even my EZ Looper!

If you make sure to snap the lid closed all the way, the bands stay perfectly in place even with the container sitting upside down.

I hope this storage solution is perfect for those wanting to take their supplies on a trip or just wanting a better way to keep organized!
